If you’re reading this, you likely already know that finding the right therapist is hard, as profiles and credentials only tell you so much. Dr. Angie helped me through a very difficult time when I felt like I was living in “the upside down”. She is professional, warm, compassionate, insightful. I’ve always felt at ease and safe talking to her, and I know I’ve really been heard after every session. I love that sessions are 1.5 hours long - enough time to dive deeper into issues without constantly watching the clock. I highly recommend her.

I am very pleased with my counseling sessions with Dr. Angie. She clearly is committed to helping with every psychological, emotional or spiritual problems one might encounter. She listens intently but unobtrusively. My evidence emerged when she referred to her copious notes about a comment that I had made several weeks before and had forgotten. She is empathetic to your situation, and that translates into one leaving the session with a rekindled empathy as well. Her background must be extensive given her ability to provide additional information regarding just about any off-hand comment you might interject. When you agree to a course of action with her, she remembers. She will very nicely hold your feet to the fire. I left every session with a more optimistic attitude and a greater sense of purpose. I am very grateful that I found her.

“My time with Dr. Angie proved incredibly beneficial when it came to understanding my own behaviors, and my needs and wants from relationships. I found the whole experience of learning about my Temperament and how it impacts my relationships thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating. What I learned about myself had a profoundly positive effect and this has stayed with me. It has certainly helped me to improve on my relationships and on how I see myself”.

“Discernment Temperament Counseling helped us understand that our marriage broke down because we are very different in how we love and need to be loved. I thought my husband didn’t love me anymore but I soon discovered that his way of showing love was not easy for me to relate to.”

“Dr. Angie was instrumental in finding out what was going on with our teenage daughter who was flunking school and getting too close to boys. Her approach allowed us to see how my wife and I were contributing to our daughter’s problems. I had no idea that Temperament places such a key role in how we behave.”

Temperament Counseling has helped me to better understand things about myself: some personality traits I suspected, others I was unaware of. Dr. Angie is an astute therapist who knows how to assess and what path to take to help you to see and analyze those thoughts and behaviors that just might not be serving you well in life. Warning: Dr. Angie will put you to work! She takes copious notes, gives work to do between sessions, and will want to discuss the results of those assignments in your next session. She knows when to stay in the present with issues and when to dig deeper into the past. In an incredibly short period of time, I have changed my thinking and turned around my life from working with Dr. Angie. I am a happier, more productive, and more creative person than I have been in a long time. She has been instrumental in guiding me to change my self-talk and has given me the tools and hope to change. I can't recommend her enough as a therapist.
